Oklahoma City University’s Bass School of Music announces graduate assistantships for the 2019-2020 academic year. Assistantship duties include performing in the graduate woodwind quintet, touring, and providing educational outreach locally and regionally. Ensemble members enjoy a full tuition waiver (does not include fees), stipend, professional preparation, and exceptional faculty support.

The Wanda L. Bass School of Music provides extensive performance opportunities for students: over 250 events each academic year including OCU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Philharmonic concerts; six fully staged opera and music theater productions; eight new music concerts featuring Project 21 student composers; masterclasses; and student, faculty, and guest artist recitals. OCU alumni have won full-time positions with symphony orchestras and military bands.

This world-class facility – built as a collaboration between musicians, acousticians, and architects – features 60 practice rooms, 40 teaching studios, 11 recording venues, six ensemble rehearsal spaces, and a black-box theater. Additional Bass School facilities include historic Burg Theatre, Petree Recital Hall, and Kirkpatrick Auditorium. OCU is an All-Steinway School and accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
